Simon is the first person that took me down a peg and made me realize that I have to work hard (harder than I ever have) to excel in school and life. It was a reality check I desperately needed. He pushed me, giving me the resources and tools I need to succeed while simultaneously throwing me into the deep end. One of the biggest things he helped me with was the SAT. I worked my way from a 1320 PSAT to a 1500 SAT, which helped me secure a “likely letter” from Yale (given to “exceptionally strong as scholars, student-athletes, or contributors in other areas of special interest to the Yale community” – I am one of two people in the state to receive one this year). He gave me immense guidance with the college admissions process, helping me pick out which schools to apply to and formatting my extracurriculars, awards, and essays. I am so thankful to have had Simon in my corner, and I hope other students can have him in theirs as well!
